ALD Engineering & Construction has successfully completed a key infrastructure project for Ukraine’s Gas Transmission System Operator (GTSOU) — the construction of a reverse interconnection between two compressor stations of the main gas pipeline. his new facility enables the transportation of gas in reverse and increases the flexibility of gas flow management within the system.
As part of the project, a high-pressure underground pipeline with a diameter of 1,000 mm was installed, connecting to two existing main pipelines and integrating into the automated remote control system.
The project was thoroughly developed through close cooperation between the ALD Engineering team and GTSOU specialists, from technical planning to on-site implementation. This joint techno-economic approach enabled cost optimization of more than 11% compared to the initial procurement estimate — a savings of over UAH 27 million excluding VAT (according to the Prozorro data: ). All technical parameters were met, and the work was completed in full.
This project stands as an example of efficient engineering execution — where precision, well-coordinated logistics, and a flexible management approach delivered added value. Such success was made possible by seamless collaboration between ALD Engineering & Construction and the Gas TSO of Ukraine at every stage — from project analysis to final commissioning.
