ALD Engineering & Construction is finalizing a project to build a modern linear telemechanics system for the operational management of the main gas pipeline of GTSOU (Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine) in the western region of Ukraine.
The initial project cost, indicated in the tender documentation (Prozorro: https://surl.li/afsvqa), exceeded UAH 17 million (excluding VAT). During implementation, thanks to thorough project preparation and effective cooperation between ALD Engineering, the customer, and designers, it was possible to optimize the budget and reduce the total cost by about 30%, achieving significant savings for GTSOU. At the same time, the full scope of planned works was completed — while preserving functionality, technical parameters, and high safety standards.
"Our task is not just to build, but to strengthen the safety and stability of critical infrastructure. Reliable partners and shared responsibility for the result — this is what allowed us to deliver the project with optimal efficiency," said Aleksey Lebedev, founder of ALD Engineering & Construction.
The project includes the construction of a modern remote control and monitoring system at key facilities of the main gas pipeline. Its implementation improves response time in case of emergencies, reduces the risk of gas leaks, and ensures the stable and safe operation of the gas transmission system.
The construction of the telemechanics system for the main gas pipeline in the western region is one of the major infrastructure projects implemented by ALD Engineering for GTSOU. Earlier, the company successfully completed the construction of a technological jumper between two compressor stations in the Sumy region, where it also managed to achieve savings of more than 11% of the initially declared construction cost, which amounted to over UAH 27 million excluding VAT (according to Prozorro: https://surl.lu/dppobr). As in the telemechanics project, ALD Engineering managed to combine engineering efficiency with cost optimization for GTSOU — without compromising quality, functionality, or safety.
By the end of the year, ALD Engineering plans to complete two more infrastructure-critical projects on GTSOU’s main gas pipelines. They are part of the digital transformation of Ukraine’s gas transmission system and confirm the reliable long-term partnership between ALD Engineering and GTSOU, built on professional dialogue, shared responsibility, and a strategic vision for the development and strengthening of the country’s critical infrastructure security.
