Since 2012 specialists of "ALD Engineering and Construction" company have been involved in the implementation of projects at PJSC "Zaporizhstal. They are aimed at environmental upgrading of production. The iron and steel mill is the largest industrial enterprise in the country, part of Metinvest group.
Since 2012, the iron and steel mill has spent more than UAH 15 billion for the environmental upgrading of the enterprise. The blast furnaces No. 2, 3, 4 were reconstructed, a modern hydrochloric acid pickling line was built in addition to equipping the sintering plant with new aspiration units. It made it possible to fully stop the discharge of sulfuric acid vapors into the atmosphere and the discharge of effluents into the Dnieper from the cold rolling shop.
The modernization of the aspiration units of the tail sections at sintering machines is another object that has been completed at the plant at the moment.
Our specialists have performed the reconstruction of the technological gas cleaning system of sinter machine No. 1 and modernization of the aspiration of the tail parts of sintering machines No. 1-6, taking into account the screens in the sinter discharge cycle in the sintering shop.
ALD has carried out a full range of construction and commissioning works at the facility. It is installation of the structure frame and the main technological equipment of the aspiration unit for the tail sections of sintering machines No. 1 and No. 2.
About 200 people were involved in this facility. Work was carried out around the clock. Special equipment was used during the construction, including for SKD assembly and- a crane with a lifting capacity of 400 tons.1000 tons of metal structures, more than 200 tons of equipment were assembled. All auxiliary works was carried out.
The works at the facility were large-scale and their result can be felt not only by workers, but also by citizens of the city. New aspiration units at the tail end of the sintering machine were equipped by electrostatic precipitators already operating here. It makes possible operation in accordance with the established standards. It also made the operation of aspiration more efficient. The new equipment has improved the dust collection of the industrial giant of sinter production.
