ALD employees completed the installation of a flue gas duct with a length of more than 50 meters
At PJSC «Zaporizhstal», specialists from ALD Engineering and Construction installed a blast-furnace gas bypass duct at the CHPP between columns No. 1-2. The length of the flue gas duct was 52.4 meters, and the weight was 41 tons, the height of the structure was 33 meters. The installation was carried out by a TADANO crane with a lifting capacity of 400 tons.
The installation was carried out over the operating facilities in the CHPP, so it was important to carry out all the work promptly and efficiently so as not to interfere with the production process. The work was carried out by ALD professionals, because the length of the installed flue gas duct at the facility is very serious - more than 50 meters. The installation work was completed in one day.
The installation of the flue gas duct at PJSC «Zaporizhstal» was carried out as part of the ongoing project «Construction of a connecting gas pipeline between the Du3000 blast-furnace gas collector in the area of BF-3 and the ring gas pipeline behind the CHPP. Reconstruction of the energy sourcesꞌ route from the northern side of the CHPP».
We remind that this year our company is implementing a number of large projects – these are the modernization of the aspiration at the bunker room DP-4 at PJSC MС «Azovstal», the modernization of the aspiration of the casting yard DP-5 of PJSC «Zaporizhstal», the modernization of the aspiration system of the under-bunker room DP-12 of PJSC "Dneprovskiy Coke Plant". Also, two dust-extracting plants will be built at PrJSC "Zaporozhogneupor".
