A tripartite memorandum on the development of artificial intelligence was signed in the Zaporozhye Regional Council

The Zaporozhye Regional Council, the National University "Zaporozhye Polytechnic" and two engineering companies, including our company "ALD Engineering and Construction", signed a memorandum of cooperation in the development of artificial intelligence in the region. A roundtable discussion was held in the Regional Council, where they discussed the creation of an innovative artificial intelligence laboratory physically based at the Zaporozhye Polytechnic.

The company "ALD Engineering and Construction" has been cooperating with Zaporozhye Polytechnic for several years; therefore it supported a joint project of the university and the Regional Council. The goal is to introduce innovative solutions into production in the future.

-“Our company always stands for the support of new, creative ideas and helps to implement them,” noted Yevgenia Bliznyuk, Director of Economics at ALD, during the round table. - We are committed to cooperation for the further development of advanced technologies. I am sure that the future belongs to such laboratories and it is necessary to help young specialists to realize their ideas and introduce artificial intelligence into production.

Recall that a year ago, with the support of our company, TechnoHUB was opened at the Zaporozhye Polytechnic. It represents a state-of-the-art hardware space where you can practice programming, simulate the operation of various equipment and see if it is done correctly. Note that TechnoHUB is a very important project not only for the university, but also for the business of our city, which will then work with these specialists in the automation of technological processes (ATP).

For several years now, students at the Zaporozhye Polytechnic National University have been developing artificial intelligence, and in the near future a special laboratory will be created on the basis of the university, where innovative solutions will be introduced for the development of our region. Financing has already been allocated from the regional budget for the development of this laboratory, and engineering companies, including our company, will support students in their development.

Today, during a roundtable discussion, the chairman of the Zaporozhye Regional Council, Olena Zhuk, emphasized that the support of the authorities and business in this matter is also very important.

The success of the territory for which we are responsible also depends on the flexibility of the power system, on its openness and transparency. The deputies of the Zaporizhzhya Regional Council support the concept of the development of artificial intelligence, which was proposed by colleagues from the Ministry of Digital Science and the Cabinet of Ministers. To date, funds from my deputy fund and the fund of Margarita Trypolskaya have been allocated for the purchase of equipment for the laboratory - this is 250 thousand hryvnias. We are focused on the development of science, technology, so we hope that by such steps we will bring something important to the development of the region.

During the presentation of the laboratory concept, the project coordinator Alexander Svistun noted that the development of artificial intelligence in the Zaporozhye region, among other things, implies the development of technical education in universities.

• Today in Ukraine at the level of the Cabinet of Ministers a concept for the development of artificial intelligence has been adopted, so we keep pace with the times and plan to develop in this direction. Within the framework of the concept, there are three key areas in which this intelligence will be used - education, the security system of our country and the agricultural sector of Ukraine, - said Oleksandr Svistun. - Since this is all about our region, we cannot stand aside. And for this, such a laboratory is being created. Precisely these innovative projects that greatly develop students, increase the prestige of the profession, the university, where there are such opportunities. And it is worth noting that such students, leaving the university and getting a job, will be very valuable for the employer. They will have tremendous experience behind them.

Thus, it is assumed that work in the artificial intelligence laboratory will be a platform for the implementation of bold ideas. During the round table, they noted that they can develop and implement innovative ideas only with the support of business. The representatives of the enterprises who attended the event spoke positively about the creation of such a laboratory.
